Painting and photography are wonderful leisure time activities for millions of people. For 2011 and 2012, we will be arranging a number of small group tours in the UK and overseas so that you can enjoy painting and photography in wonderful surroundings, but under the knowledgeable eye of a qualified painting or photography expert. Our team of experts include a selection of retired art teachers, semi-professional and professional artists, along with professional photographers.
We are currently working on our itinerary programme for 2011 and 2012, but likely destinations for our photography and painting tours will include Bergerac/Bordeaux in France, Mayrhofen in Austria, the Alentejo region of central Portugal and South Africa.
All the destinations are specifically chosen for the beauty of their scenery and/or the particular quality of the light conditions to be found there, which make them wonderful venues to visit when accompanied a local expert.
Naturally, even the keenness painters need to allow time for their canvases to dry and the most ardent photopgrapher needs a break from seeing all their views through the view-finder. For this reason, each itinerary will include a range of other activities including sight-seeing, visits to local art galleries etc. We have also discovered that many of our painters and photographers share other passions - often for wonderful food and wine...enjoyable both as a subject for painting and taking pictures as eating and drinking. Consequently, where appropriate, we will include in our itineraries food and wine master classes and optional cookery demonstrations to run alongside our tuition programmes.
